TEACHER: MICHELLE PENIX
Dogs have been a lifelong passion for me, starting with an imaginary dachshund when I was 3. She was the best dog!
I grew up with family dogs, and in 1988 began raising Assistance Dog puppies. I then started helping friends and neighbors teach their dogs basic commands and better behavior. This quickly turned into teaching group classes and going to every doggie activity I could get to. At the age of 18, I was the youngest
Certified Service Dog trainer in the country.
I am familiar with many different training styles, and over the years have worked with Assistance dogs, done some competitive obedience, trained protection dogs, and done lots of behavior modification. I have successfully trained hundreds of dogs to be better companions, be they working Assistance dogs or beloved family pets. I can help you get your puppy started out to be the best dog ever; reform your "problem child" into a more pleasant companion; or help teach your already wonderful dog something new! So come on out and join the fun!!
